Question

bulb mode and ML-L3 remote

I'm using the ML-L3 remote with my D3200. I was under the impression that in Bulb mode the remote would open the shutter with one click of the remote and then close it with the subsequent click. However, when I change the release mode to remote, "Bulb" changes to "Time" and I have no idea what to do next.

My goal is to take some long exposures and use the remote to open and close the shutter. But now I'm wondering if the remote is actually capable of this function. Thanks

Question

Quick Response Mode and Time mode

I have my D3200 set for "Quick Response Mode" as the release mode, and I have my shutter speed on "Time (Bulb)." I'm having an issue where when I click the button to open the shutter, it closes again immediately without me pressing the button again. This does not happen if I set it for the remote delay mode, I hit it once to open it, and hit it again to close it. I want the same thing to happen in Quick Response Mode. Am I doing something wrong?
