The MB-D14 is the grip for the D600 and no it doesn't increase the frame rate using it.

I just bought Nikon 600 and the nikki light meter moves the opposite direction from my old one? Is this a defect, my other Nikon don't operate this way. Is this something new or can I reset it so it moves the correct way?

Nikon operates factories all across the globe and each operate to the same high standard. While individual cameras are marked with their country of manufacture, we can't make a blanket statement about which camera is produced where.

The older one did not have VR, the included kit lens has VR and it is second generation VR II. It will only say VR on the lens in gold lettering.

Question

The movie view over TV (mini to Hdmi) does not play sound that was recorded and plays on the computer, did not use stero mic just the internal mic.

Is this the way it is suposed to work? The manual says it will play back stero record with the optional mic but does not say anything about audio if the internal mono mic is used.

Besides the kit lens, which other lenses are suggested for a passionate hobbyist?

I am in process of investigation to replace my Sony A55 with a better DSLR. I've all but decided on the D600. I'd like to know which other lens would be a good partner in my kit. I have a 50mm f/1.4D AF already.
