I have a D3100 and would like to add a telephoto lens. I'm debating between the 55-300 and the 70-300. I'm going on a safari later this year so I will be using it for wildlife pics and to take pics of my daughter playing soccer. Which lens would be best?
Does this include the soft case, rear and front lens caps, and the flower-shaped lens hood?

The elements and technology of both lenses are not the same. Please use the compare tool on the web page to see what the differences between the lenses are. http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Products/Camera-Lenses/All-Lenses/index.page
