When I use this lens, the auto distortion control function on my D600 does not work. Why not?

My other Nikkor lenses do not have this problem.

The nodal point is not something that people tell you. You have to setup the lens with the camera and use the right equipment to find the nodal point.
Search this youtube video call "Panoramic photography - how to find the Nodal Point (no parallax point) of your lens.
