Question
Is Nikon going to step up production of the D800E to meet the overwhelming demand?!?
The D800E has been available as pre-order for over 6 months now! Orders placed in February and March have still not been filled! Is Nikon doing something to increase production to meet the demand of the existing pre-orders as well as manufacture enough volume for retailers to carry the 800E in stock? I placed my order in early August, but somehow I'm getting the feeling that it won't be filled until the very end of the year or early in 2013. Why doesn't Nikon issue a press release addressing this issue? Obviously, every customer who has placed a pre-order is extremely concerned!

Thanks for your interest in the D800E. We have shipped many thousands of these cameras to our customers. Interest for this camera has been very high. If you have an urgent need I'd strongly suggest ordering one now from an authorized dealer so that you will be on their list as they receive shipments from us.

Why are there no reviews if you have sold thousands of the D800E?

Almost all cables are available elsewhere third party so no real need for Nikon to sell them.
