Question

can this cable be plugged into my blue ray player to watch on tv? not plugged into the tv itself?

My tv is mounted above the fireplace. I can't get to the back of it. I've plugged the cables into the blue ray but the device isn't doing anything. Help please!

Make sure that the video mode is on NTSC (named for the National Television System Committee is the analog television system that was used in the United States), and not in PAL (European video standard that is also used in certain other areas of the world).

The yellow and white plugs are RCA plugs for stereos and newer TV's, I have never seen RCA's on a PC except for maybe new and top end computers, you need to get a plug that goes into the camera, just like the single one on this cord, then make sure the other end has a USB connection on the other end, if you have a newer flatscreen TV, then you could plug the USB end into the TV, or if your camera is HD capable, then get a plug with HDMI, most likely if your camera will do HD, then you will have a mini HDMI, same plug but about half the size as regular, if not sure take your camera to someone like a Radio Shack or Best Buy, they should help you get up and running.

Please verify the settings that you have on your TV. Once the camera is plug into the computer or the TV the image on the back LCD goes away.

If your camera is compatible with the EG-CP14 then it has a mini-USB port therefore you would need a mini-USB to HDMI connector. Nikon does not offer this cable but it should be available through third parties. Please keep in mind that, depending on the model, your camera may not provide HDMI output.
