Question

More Info about this adapter...

Can this adapter be used to recharge rechargeable batteries in a Nikon L105 camera while they are in the camera, (aka - batteries are installed showing less than full battery charge, user plugs in the AC (to DC converter) adapter EH-67 and it will charge the rechargeable batteries back to full)?

If this is not capable of doing this, is there an available electronic schematic to rewire the camera to allow this to work? Please answer both questions, thanks!

The AC Adapter EH-67 is to power the camera continuously for extended periods. The COOLPIX L105 doesn't have the option to recharge batteries while inside the camera.

Question

Confused about AC Adapter

Can I charge the camera with an AC Adapter? Meaning that it will not need to be plugged in the wall in order for me to take pictures or have alkaline batteries?

Because not having this option will be very disappointing.

The EH-67 AC adapter is not a charger, and it will not charge the camera battery. The EH-67 can be plug into the 5.0v DC port on the side of your L820 to power the camera continuously for extended periods.

The MH-73 can also be purchase to use with the camera. It includes a set of four EN-MH2 rechargeable batteries and a charger.

Question

L830 AC Adapter

Is this the correct product for the CoolPix L830?

When using this product, do I have to remove the AA batteries from it, or can I just plug this in and the camera automatically consumes power from this instead of the AA's?

Your information in ridiculously inadequate to describe many of your products on your website. If the L830 has the capability to use an external power source, why not mention it anywhere? Your technical staff isn't getting information to your web and marketing staff.

Yes, all Nikon Coolpix cameras have an auto switching (from 100v to 240V 50hz/60hz) battery charger that will work in most countries around the world. AC adapters have similar characteristics. Always check the specification plate on your other battery chargers or AC adapters as third party products may not support dual voltage systems. We do not suggest the use of third party battery chargers and AC adapters with Nikon equipment. Note that the power cord included with some Nikon chargers or AC adapter is designed for 110 volt use only. A power cord suitable for the local power system should be obtained on arrival, most airport shops and computer suppliers will carry these items which are typically used for laptop computer power supply connections. Be sure that the new cord you buy fits the Nikon adapter you wish to use it with and that it is rated for the voltage in your new location. While not recommended, a simple plug adapter may be used, but caution should be taken as the cord Nikon supplies is not rated for the higher voltage and may heat or fail. Some newer Coolpix have included an AC Adapter, like the EH-68P AC adapter, for plugging directly into a wall outlet without the use of a power cord. As with previous chargers, the correct adapter must be acquired for the country traveled to, and fitted to the Nikon AC adapter to allow proper AC connection to the wall outlet.
