Question

Is there a longer version of CA90 cord, or a way to lengthen the standard cord?

For use in an airplane, we hope to purchase a GP-1 and set it further away from the camera (on the dashboard perhaps?) for better reception. Hard to tell how long the standard cord actually is, didn't see any specs. Would splicing one of these cables with an extension be possible without affecting performance?

Right Angle GP1-CA90 Accesory cable for GP-1

Is there a right angle connector for this GPS? The connector is a terrible weak point and is easially stressed by placing the camera in a bag while connnected resulting in damage to the cable or camera connector.

Nikon does not currently make a right angle adapter for the GP1-CA90 accessory cable or a version of the GP1-CA90 that has a right angle connector.
