The new nikon1 lenses series - yes, that fore they are made. The old nikkor F series: that fore Nikon made an adapter, the FT1, which I guess make fit quite a lot - although with same details like not exactly the same functionality in autofocus as the native lenses. here you have a chart by nikon: http://www.nikonusa.com/en_US/o/WBqMZFjDl2eU0uluIvskYJxzlYg/PDF/Nikon_1_F_Mount-FT1_Compatibility_Chart.pdf

There are 65 current F mount NIKKOR lenses (as of Dec. 2011) that the FT-1 is compatible with. If you visit the product page, http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Produ... there is a downloadable PDF that lists which lenses are compatible with the FT-1.

Assuming you consider 50mm to be "normal" on 35mm format, the equivalent Nikon 1 focal length is 18mm. The conversion factor is 2.7x.

The focal length will depend on what lens you are using. (10mm, 10-30mm, 30-110mm or 10-100mm).

Why? If Nikon makes the camera in red, then it SHOULD make the lenses available for single purchase in the same colors. If I would have known this to be the case when I purchased the Nikon 1 in red, I would have either opted to buy the entire package or opted for another color that could be added to at a future date. Needless to say, I am very, very disappointed at this point because I want to have the same color camera and lense but Nikon does not offer it.

Which filters are recommended?

Your product lineup for the Nikon 1 V1 shows only a neutral color filter. What about other filters? Since the camera is digital autofocus--but mirrorless, are circular filters still the rule?

No, Coolpix is a fixed lens camera, you cannot change the lens.
