Questions & Answers for Nikon Inc. HB-32 Bayonet Lens Hood

Question

I would like to know if my lens, hood and circular polarizer are compatible; if it would cause any wignetting at all depending on settings?

I just got a circular polarizer filter II for my lens (AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR) which has the HB-32 hood. On the instruction manual of the filter, there is a table showing which lenses and respective hoods would cause vignetting. My lens or hood are not listed (I suppose because it is a newer model). I would like to know if they are compatible, if it would cause any wignetting at all, depending on the settings: with hood, no hood, wideangle,...

Thank you.
