I bought a used D70 and the seller included an MC-30 in the package but I can't figure out where it would connect or if I need an adapter of some kind or if it isn't compatible at all. Let me know if I should just sell it and buy something else. Thanks

The D70 is only compatible with the ML-L3 wireless Remote Control.
Yes, in custom settings g4 (assign shutter button) you can control whether the shutter-release button can be used to start movie live view or to start and end movie recording.
Is this Nikon MC 30 Remote Cord still compatible with the Nikon D2X?
The D2X manual lists the MC 30 as its remote cord, but this Nikon website does not list the D2X under the Compatible With tab for the MC 30. Thank you for the help.

Yes it is. Sometimes as a camera gets older Nikon drops them from the compatability charts.
