Questions & Answers for Nikon Inc. Type A Brite View Focusing Screen

Question

Is this focusing screen compatible with Nikon's DSLRs such as the D800e?

I truly miss having a split in the focus fresnel. I understand that there are differences between the F6 autofocus module and that of Nikon's DLSRs but I'll ask the question, will this focus screen fresnel:

• Will it fit?
• Will it work.
• If it does work (within a reasonable tolerance of the functional spec) what are the trade-offs? I am sure that there may be variances in AF performance in the centre point, but to what degree?
• Would the rest of the AF points be affected?

Warm regards.
