EN-EL4/EN-EL4a in the D700

Just want to be sure this is correct that BL-3 Battery chamber cover with the above batteries will work in my D700? since the EN-EL3e are 7.4V and the EN-EL4 are 11.1V I do not want to ruin my D700, I am guessing that it converts the Voltage down?

That is the correct setup, it will increase shots from 1000 to 4300 per Nikon standards.

Question

How does the BL – 3 battery chamber cover work with the EN – EL4a and the MB – D10 multi- battery pack. Right side left side ?

I can't see how these three products mesh, I'm including the battery does anyone know of a photographic breakdown so I can study this more clearly. I would like to buy a D 300 to go as my backup camera with my D 3. I have a D 200 now but I would like to use the same batteries in my primary camera and in my backup camera . I use multiple lenses while I'm shooting so I will probably continue to carry my D 200 I love it thank you very much. Also I can't seem to find any significant difference between the D 300 and the D 300 S maybe I can save a couple of dollars by purchasing the out of manufacturing D300 any advice. Another short question does the D 300 and the D 300 S have a pop-up flash
