Questions & Answers for Nikon Inc. BL-3 Battery Chamber Cover

Question

EN-EL4/EN-EL4a in the D700

Just want to be sure this is correct that BL-3 Battery chamber cover with the above batteries will work in my D700? since the EN-EL3e are 7.4V and the EN-EL4 are 11.1V I do not want to ruin my D700, I am guessing that it converts the Voltage down?

Thank you

Question

How does the BL – 3 battery chamber cover work with the EN – EL4a and the MB – D10 multi- battery pack. Right side left side ?

I can't see how these three products mesh, I'm including the battery does anyone know of a photographic breakdown so I can study this more clearly. I would like to buy a D 300 to go as my backup camera with my D 3. I have a D 200 now but I would like to use the same batteries in my primary camera and in my backup camera . I use multiple lenses while I'm shooting so I will probably continue to carry my D 200 I love it thank you very much. Also I can't seem to find any significant difference between the D 300 and the D 300 S maybe I can save a couple of dollars by purchasing the out of manufacturing D300 any advice. Another short question does the D 300 and the D 300 S have a pop-up flash

The magnesium alloy piece attached to the EN-EL4a battery after removing it from the camera can be released using the grey switch on the top. The BL-3 attaches to the EN-EL4A and act as an extension, giving the battery extra length to fit directly into the MB-D10 battery grip without using the MS-D10EN battery tray.

The D300s records videos while the D300 does not.
D300s has 2 memory card slots (CF/SD) while the D300 has one memory card slot, and there are other slight differences between the two cameras listed in the tech specs. Both cameras have a pop-up flash.
