Is there any down side to using an HS-12 lens hood on a 50mm 1:1.4D af lens?

The AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D is not compatible with the HS-12 lens hood. It’s compatible with the HR-2 Screw-on rubber hood, HR-1 rubber lens hood, and the HS-9 rubber lens hood. There's no down side while using a lens hood, it will only reduce the amount of unneeded light.
