sorry, no. in fact, most cameras are not, and those that are are specifically marketed as being "waterproof". i refer you to, for example, the Nikon AW100:

http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Compact-Digital-Cameras/26293/COOLPIX-AW100.html

that one IS waterproof. no question about it.

No. Nikon does not offer an adapter for this camera. Remember, it already has a 26x zoom lens. Third party vendors offer a tube adapter with a 62mm filter thread, but that appears to be more for filters and shades.

While we recommend that you update the firmware on the COOLPIX L810 with the older firmware, both the original 1.0 firmware and the 1.1 firmware update included Eye-Fi support. Both of your L810s should have the Eye-Fi upload option in the Setup Menu. Please review the Eye-Fi Upload information and supported Eye-Fi card list that can be found on pages 64-65 of the Reference Section of the L810 Reference Manual. The COOLPIX L810 Reference Manual can be downloaded from this address: https://support.nikonusa.com/app/an....

The L810 1.1 firmware update, and instructions for updating firmware, are posted here:

Most of the time shooting delay is caused by focusing. Press the button half way down (and hold it in) and let the camera focus; when the subject is perfect press the button the rest of the way to shoot. With a bit of practice it is easy to get the perfect photo.
