It is true that this camera is for kids and I got it for my 14 year-old. She loved it and would not let it go, in the pool in particular.

I also agree that the image quality underwater is pretty good (at this price) but outside, it is a little disappointing. Then again, I personally use and SLR and my daughter is pretty happy as she will, in any case use some apps on the iPad to edit/alter the images she took and share with her friends.

So really, the quality outside water is not that relevant for her at least.

Sharing a few example photos she took with the S31 for your reference... Hopefully, this is helpful.

Nikon does not make any accessory mounts or grips for the S31. However, the camera has a standard 1/4" (ISO 1222) tripod socket to which third-party accessories could be attached.

To set focus and exposure (shutter speed and aperture value), press the shutter-release button halfway, stopping when you feel resistance. Focus and exposure remain locked while the shutter- release button is pressed halfway. The camera focuses on the face framed by the yellow double border (focus area). When the subject is in focus, the double border turns green. For information on focusing please see pages 24, 25, and page 60 in the User's Manual: https://support.nikonusa.com/app/an...

Question

I am thinking to buy this camera, but How much time contineous video recording is possible in this product?

Don't say that it is as per available memory. I have 32 GB card but one latest Canon IXUS 132 model stops recording after 4GB is filled. & still 28 GB is free in memory card, but that canon stops recording. If this problem is not there in Nikon then I will buy it.

It is the same: 29minutes or 4GB depending on which ever comes first. It is like that with all digital cameras no matter the brand. All digital cameras have a video recording maximum limit of 30 minutes. You can do a google search to find out why. If you want to record continuously, you will need to get a camcorder instead. .

The only sizes available are 3648x2736, 2272x1704 and 1600x1200, to have an image at any other size you would have to resize them afterwards in something like View NX2, which is very easy to do.
