Why does it take 8 - 10 seconds between shots (without flash) in AUTO on my CoolPix S4100?
I bought my wife a CoolPix S4100. In AUTO, SINGLE, Flash not used (light adequate), it takes about 8 - 10 seconds after she takes a picture before the camera returns to ready to take another picture. I have found nothing in the manual that addresses this nor any menu items are relevant.

What memory card are you using? Nikon reccomends a minimum of a class 6 but I would go with a class 10.

Where do I find manuals on the Coolpix S4100?
My wife used the camera because it is small and my other Nikon is to large(D40) and all her pictures came out either yellow or like its been on a vibrating table. A lot of hand shake and not enough time to take her shots.

Any USB to mini USB cable will work available from any electronics retailer. Or you can order a UC -E6 cable from Nikon.
