One big difference is the 8200 has VR in the lens and the 9100 has it on the sensor. This lets the 8200 use VR in movie mode.

The cameras are in the local site from here but I don't find them in registered resellers by site. I have visited several shops and unfortunately I can't find them to buy even in Duty Free. Now we're starting to find the Coolpix S6200 and support here reported that only began to receive in June.
Suggestion: create a specialized shop for selling Nikon here in Brazil-São Paulo, because here we find only Sony for everything is place.

Question
When I use the zoom feature, I have to turn off the camera and turn it back on before it will focus again.
It will not zoom in then out again without being turned off first. Is this a malfunction or do I have a setting wrong?

Please reset the camera: MENU > SETUP > RESET ALL. Also, verify you are using an approved memory card for the COOLPIX S8200 and that the battery is fully charged:

blurred images with simple movements, I have been taking pictures , pictures are blurred even when there is sligh movement of the persons in the frame

If you move the camera, or if the subject moves in low light you will get blurrrr...
try photos where there is no movement and see if they are crisp and clear,
you can sit camera on something and set self timer so you do not touch the camera at all and see if subject is clear n crisp, ...
if blurry after holding camera still and or the subject not moving, then I would say you have a problem with the camera, at that point contact "Service and Support" in the above main menu bar...

It means that the ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Charge the
battery indoors with an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 35 °C
(41 °F to 95 °F).

Why do my pictures keep coming up blurry?
I have taken pictures on all settings, including auto focus and find that at least 1/3 of my photos come out blurry. I thought this camera was supposed to be easy to use! Product came w/a "quick start guide" not a manual, so no trouble shooting info on what to do. This has been very disappointing!

All digital cameras must be taken with a half press on the shutter to quick focus before taking a photo. Don't simply press the shutter button fast or it will not focus right before taking a photo. Common pittfalls here. Hope this helps.

Question
Can I make audio only recordings of meetings?
My old S10 camera had an audio only recording feature which I used frequently to record meetings. It does not appear that my new S8200 has such a feature. Is there a way I can make audio only recordings of meeting which may last over an hour? If not, this is a feature you should include in future models.

The COOLPIX S8100 doesn't have the feature for Voice Recording like the S10 used to have. It has the option for Voice memo for images only.
